BOWERS BEACH - James Franklin Hollinger, formally of Bowers Beach, died at home with his family around him. Through all of his health issues, his kindness and sense of humor was always present. He was a life long fisherman and loved the water. He served in the US Army. He was born in Bowers Beach, son of the late Mifflin and Minnie Hollinger. He is survived by his son, James E. (Jimbo) Hollinger and his wife Annamarie; a daughter, Diane M. Gill and Butch Frame, both of New Jersey; a brother, Thomas M Hollinger, Jr and wife Linda of Dover; two sisters, Sandra I. Harrison, husband Ralph of Georgetown, and Mary H Price, of Okatie, S.C.; grandchildren, Remirose Hollinger, Anthony Lanzalotti, Brittany N. Gill, Sadie Marie Frame, Madison Rylie Frame, Courtney Frame and Carson Frame; a friend and ex-wife Carol Hollinger; a nephew, Eric Peterson whom he lived with. He was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth D. Burnett.. The family wishes to express to the staff of Compassionate Care our sincere thanks for exceptional care that they gave. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tues., Jan. 4, 2011, at Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, where friends may call after 9 a.m. Interment will be in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to: Compassionate Care Hospice, 201B West Dupont Hwy, Millsboro, Delaware 19966.
