LINCOLN - James F. Asmus, of Lincoln, died Jan. 9, 2011, at the age of 85. Born in Wood County, Ohio, he was the son of the late Frank and Nellie V. Brown Asmus. Mr. Asmus was a Veteran of WWII and had served in the U.S. Army Air Corps. For the greater part of his life he had worked as an Aeronautical Engineer for the Boeing Corp. of Ohio and had retired in 1990. He had resided in Granville, Ohio, until moving to Lincoln in 2010. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Joan F. Asmus, and is survived by his daughters, Karen Asmus Gritton of Lincoln, and Barbara Lee Adams of Knoxville, Tenn. Mr. Asmus is also survived by his brother, Roger Asmus of Granville, Ohio; and his sister, Lila Wenig of Bowling Green, Ohio; along with ten grandchildren. Services and Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Life's End Services are by Michael J. Ambruso Funeral Director, Inc. Dover.
