James 'Buddy' Edward Sard, 77 SANDTOWN - James "Buddy" Edward Sard, 77, of Sandtown, died Sunday, May 30, 2010, at home surrounded by his family. He was born Nov. 11, 1932, in Eastern Shore, Md., to the late Edger and Margaret Sard. As a young man Mr. Sard was a truck driver for the STP Company, he went on to own his own truck until 1974. He then went to work for Delaware State Highway Administration retiring in 1994 after 20 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Dorothy K. Sard; two sons, Donnie and wife Dawn Sard of Salisbury, Md., Edward and wife Mary Lee Sard of Felton; one daughter, Carol Torres of Felton; four grandchildren, Michael Sard, Emily Pridgen, Johnathon Sard and Kelly Anne Torres; one great-grandson, Harley Pridgen; one brother, Bill and wife Mary Sard of Wyoming; two sisters, Doris and husband Nasa Jeanette of Outer Banks, N.C., and Barbara and husband Ken Pangburn of Orlando, Fla. Services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 2, at Fleegle & Helfenbein, 106 W. Sunset Ave., Greensboro, where visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m, today. Interment will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover. The family would like to thank the Vista Hospice of Delaware. The family asks donations to be made to Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, PO Box 160; Greensboro, MD 21639 to help with funeral expenses.
