Jadwiga Harriet Mazol, 95

DOVER - Jadwiga Harriet Mazol, of Dover, died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008, in Bayhealth Medical Center. She was 95. Born in Flushing, N.Y., she had moved to Delaware in 1961. For the greater part of her life she had been a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Mazol had been a long time member of the Blesses Virgin Mary Sodality and a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church. Besides her parents and two siblings, she was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Lt. Col. Joseph J. Mazol, Ret. U.S. Army; and two sons, John J. and Joseph V. Mazol. She leaves behind her son, Richard A. Mazol and his wife Yvonne Mitten of Wisconsin; a daughter-in-law, Sue Mazol of Virginia; two grandchildren, Joseph M. Mazol of South Carolina and Sabrina Tippins of North Carolina; one great-granddaughter, Cassandra Tippins of North Carolina; one brother, Joseph Lisinski of California; and a sister, Dorothy Brown of New York. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, South State St., Dover. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Dover. Arrangements are by Michael J. Ambruso Funeral Director, Inc., Dover.
