Jack Woodward, 71 WORTON, Md. - Jack Woodward, 71, of Orange Cat Farm, Worton, Md., died July 9, 2010, at home. Jack was born on Feb. 22, 1939, in Washington, D.C. son of the late John D. and Bernice White Woodward. He was a lifetime nurseryman living and working in South Jersey. He and his wife moved to Kent County 10 years ago and for the last 4 years they have owned and operated the Orange Cat Farm in Worton growing Asian pears, perennials and cut flowers. He was a member of the New Jersey Nurserymen's Association. Jack loved growing plants and trees, hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Marcie Kurzenberger Woodward; two daughters, Sean Woodward-Hills and her husband Brian of Pitman, N.J., and Kelly Powell of Coeur D' Alene, Idaho; two step-sons, Allen Goodwin and his wife Danielle of Havertown, Pa., and Michael Goodwin and his wife Heather of Lansdowne, Pa.; a sister, Peggi Berge of Tustin, Calif.; and five grandchildren; Astra Williams, Erin Hills, Colin, Ethan and Addison Goodwin. A memorial service will be noon, Tuesday, July 13, in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St., Galena, Md., where friends may call one hour prior.
