Italian-American Heritage Club of Sussex County awards scholarships

The Italian-American Heritage Club of Sussex County recently awarded $1,000 scholarships to Tyler James Belson and Anna Maria Fantoli.

Mr. Belson was an honor roll student and a member of the National Honor Society and his high school’s Game Club. He received recognition for passing the Advanced Placement exam and will be attending Wilmington University, where he will major in game design with a hope to create games that teach and have a positive influence on players.

Ms. Fantoli was a member of the National Honor Society, received an award for Outstanding Performance in Plant and Horticultural Science, and participated in agricultural sales competitions and specialty crop production with the National FFA Organization. She will be attending The University of Vermont to study forestry and environmental science.
