Investigation into shots fired incident in Dover ongoing

DOVER — The Dover Police Department is investigating a shots fired complaint that occurred early Tuesday, spokesman Master Cpl. Ryan Schmid said.

Investigation began at 12:27 a.m., when Officers responded to the area of W, Loockerman Street and S. Bradford Street for the report of shots fired. Officers arrived on scene and located shell casings in the area.

There were no victims and no damage reported at this time, police said.

At around 8:30 a.m., Cpl. Schmid said, police were notified by CenDel Foundation, 101 W. Loockerman Street that a window was damaged as a result of the above described shooting. Officers reviewed downtown surveillance footage which revealed the suspect is a heavy set Black male wearing a white T-shirt and black shorts.

Investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police at 302-736-7130 Callers may remain anonymous.
