Felony weapons arrest made after Dover investigation

DOVER — A 40-year-old Dover man was arrested on weapons and drug-dealing charges Tuesday, Dover police said.

Chad Henderson had been under investigation when he was contacted on Stevenson Drive at 11:05 p.m., spokesman Master Cpl. Ryan Schmid said. He was taken into custody without incident.

Police said Mr. Henderson was in possession of a loaded .38 special revolver with an obliterated serial number and 9.1 grams of cocaine.

He was charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a person prohibited (three counts), possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number, possession of a controlled substance in a Tier 1 quantity, possession of drug paraphernalia and carrying a concealed deadly weapon. He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution, Georgetown, on $105,000 cash bail.
