Inez Ann Embleton, 74 HARRINGTON - Inez Ann Embleton, of Harrington, was at home surrounded by her family when she went to be with the Lord and received her ultimate healing on Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010. She was 74. Inez was born in Lockport, N.Y., on Dec. 3, 1935 to the late Willis and Lulu Guengerich. She was a member of the Red Hat Society in Sarasota, Fla., and the Greenwood Mennonite Church, where she was also part of the sewing circle. Along with her husband Merle they operated Embleton Gift and Bake Shop some years ago. Inez had many talents including being a good seamstress, singing with the Embletones Quartet, being a gourmet cook, a decorator, flower arranging, and all kinds of crafts. She also loved to travel. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Merle; four children and their spouses, Gene and Sharon Embleton of Harrington, Jay and Kathy Embleton of Greenwood, Jerry and Wendy Embleton of Milford, and Sydney and Lyle Hamilton of Harrington; ten grandchildren; two brothers, Grant Guengerich of Sarasota, and Owen Guengerich of Springs, Pa.; and one sister Vivian Zehr of Des Allemands, La. Interment service was Thursday, Jan. 14, at the Greenwood Mennonite Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Greenwood Mennonite School, 12802 Mennonite School Road, Greenwood, DE 19950. Arrangements were by Fleischauer Funeral Home, of Greenwood.
