MAGNOLIA - Ina Marie Scott, of Magnolia, peacefully went to be with the Lord after a long illness on Sept. 28, 2011, surrounded by her family in San Antonio, Texas. She was 90. She was born July 1, 1921, in Winfield, Tenn., to the late Elbert Chitwood and Joan Finley Chitwood. A homemaker, Mrs. Scott enjoyed beading jewelry, embroidery, tatting, crocheting and sewing. She enjoyed attending musical and theatrical performances with her family and friends. She attended chapel at Dover Air Force Base. Mrs. Scott was a member of Order of the Eastern Star. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Scott in 2003; sister, Virginia Chitwood Carter in 2000; and brother, Raymond Chitwood in 1987. She is survived by son, Mark Scott and his wife Linda of Jacksonville, N.C.; daughters, Sheliah Kline and her husband Don, and Beth Scott, all of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren, Jeffrey Kline of Austin, Texas, and Daniel Kline of San Antonio, Texas, Patrick Lyons and his wife Christy of Humble, Texas, Jennifer Carney and her husband Paul of San Antonio, Thomas Scott and his wife Amber of Lillington, N.C., Holly Scott of Wilmington, N.C.; great-grandchildren, Scott Bartlett, Caitlyn and Breanna Carney, Chrestien and Blake Ivey. Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday evening. Interment will be in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the Bayhealth Foundation and the American Heart Association. Guestbook may be signed and letters of condolence may be posted at www.torbertfuneral.com.
