LINCOLN - Howard S. Hastings Sr., of Lincoln, passed away on Monday, Sept. 21, 2009, at Bayhealth - Milford Memorial Hospital. He was 78. Mr. Hastings was born in Milford, the son of the late Samuel W. and Addie Mae (Calloway) Hastings. He was a medical transporter for Delmarva Transportation for 4 years. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Ruth Watkins Hastings; two children, Howard Hastings Jr. of Laurel, and John W. Hastings Sr. of Lincoln; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be 1 p.m., Friday, Sept. 25, in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford, where friends may call Thursday night from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in Milford Community Cemetery.
