ELLENDALE - Howard L. Masten Jr., of Ellendale, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. He was 62. He was born in Lewes, the son of the late Howard L. Masten, Sr. and Mary Bradford Masten. He was a well driller. He is survived by his best friend, Josephine MacLaine; children, Joseph Masten and wife Beth of Seaford, and Buddy Lee Masten of Arlington, Va.; one grandson, Brandon Masten; one granddaughter, Jordon Masten; sister, Dianne Burk of Milford; nephew, Robert Burk, Jr. and his wife Becky of Livermore, Calif.; and niece, Amber Burk and her finance', I.J. Hallett of Milford. Funeral Services will be 1 p.m., Monday, July 25, 2011, in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal St., Milton, where friends may call after noon. Interment will be in St. Georges Cemetery, Clarksville.
