Holden, III MILFORD - Horace Linwood Holden, III of Milford passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. He was 71. Horace was born in Philadelphia, Pa. to the late Horace, Jr. and Mary D. (Marker) Holden. He worked at Wyatt Laboratories in Paoli, Pa. for 36 years retiring in 1997. He loved all animals, especially dogs. He is survived by his daughters, Ruth Ann Webb and her husband Bill of Hartly, Deborah Holden and her friend Robert of Canonsberg, Pa.; 2 step children, Clint Stayton and his wife Jane of Milford, Mary Ann Day and her husband Samuel of Milford; two sisters, Doris Peltz and her husband John of Glenolden, Pa., Evelyn Ballinger and her husband Ed of Milford; four grandchildren, Travis, Megan and Rebecca Webb, Deven Signorini; step-grandchildren, Kimberly Wilcutts and her husband David, Charlie Stayton and his wife Katy, and Steffanie Day; and three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, David and Mark Peltz, Mary Beth Franks and Eddie, Dan and Jeff Ballinger; and his friend and caregiver, Bert Strachan. Funeral Services will be 11:30 a.m., Saturday, May 19, 2012 in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford, where friends may call after 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Barratts Chapel Cemetery, Frederica. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: S.P.C.A., 22918 DuPont Hwy., Georgetown, DE 19947 or Delaware Hospcie Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
