Next Wednesday, June 25, from 5-7 p.m., members and guests of the Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce will enjoy a summer evening getaway at the Hilton Garden Inn Dover, 1706 N. Dupont Highway, for the Sunset Business Mixer.

These monthly mixers, the premier networking events of the chamber, are known for bringing the business community together to make valuable connections, build relationships, support local business, and have plenty of fun while working to grow central Delaware.

The CDCC staff invites both current and soon-to-be members to come visit the beautifully renovated Hilton Garden Inn, learn about the amenities it offers and meet the helpful staff. The CDCC is excited to return to this wonderful hotel that does a crucial job of welcoming the community and supporting central Delaware’s tourist economy — a key economic driver for the state. The tourism industry is the fourth largest private employer in Delaware, accounting for 55,240 jobs, according to visitdelaware.com. In 2023, visitors to Kent County spent $775 million which is up 5.3% compared to 2022. The tourism industry plays a key role in the success of local businesses.

Be sure to allow time during the mixer to enjoy the refreshments provided by the newly rebranded Hearth Bar and Grille in the Hilton lobby. This full-service bar and restaurant now features seasonally changing menus and partnerships with several local suppliers. Hearth is open to the public for breakfast and dinner.

When you check in at the CDCC registration table, drop your business card in the silver bowl for a chance to be the next CDCC Member of the Month or win a door prize. Make sure to stay to the end of the mixer to see if your card is drawn as the lucky winner — you must be present to win. Also, mixer attendees are encouraged to bring a door prize to share with a lucky winner. It’s a great way to showcase your business and create a lasting impression.

The CDCC loves to see the room filled with like-minded local professionals engaging with other members and discovering how their businesses can work together to grow and strengthen central Delaware.
