Welcome to 2025.
If you enter a business or medical center and can’t find anyone to assist you or answer any questions, you can probably thank the Delaware Democrats. The new-this-year state minimum wage of $15 per hour, which is double the federal wage, is going to hurt all of us.
I know the past four years under the Biden administration has hurt the country and made it harder to bear the upward costs placed on all of us, but entry-level jobs are still just that — entry level for untrained, unskilled workers — and that is what minimum wage is about. It’s a chance to learn a job and the standards required in today’s working world. It’s certainly not the top-of-the-line pay we strive for, but it’s a beginning.
I am afraid the “new progressive outlook” of today’s Democrats sounded good, but the old saying, “If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is,” sure seems to fit. Just look at California for an example.
It looks like the Delaware Democrats want to turn our state into California. I pray that doesn’t happen, but it will take “we, the people” to prevent it. Think about that, please. Thank you.
