LOS ANGELES (AP) — UCLA coach Bob Chesney says there's “serious concern” that quarterback Nico Iamaleava could miss the rest of the season with a knee injury. Iamaleava was hurt just before halftime of the Bruins' 17-15 victory over Oregon on Saturday. Chesney says he's waiting for doctors to make the final call. The 12th-ranked Bruins host Wisconsin on Saturday at the Rose Bowl. Iamaleava has thrown four touchdowns and four interceptions this season. Backup Ty Dieffenbach replaced him in the second half against the Ducks. Sophomore Madden Iamaleava, Nico's younger brother, is another option at quarterback.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) — Michigan coach Kyle Whittingham says he's sticking with quarterback Bryce Underwood and offensive coordinator Jason Beck. The Wolverines host Penn State on Saturday in a matchup of disappointing teams led by coaches in their first year with two of the winningest programs in college football. Michigan was No. 16 in the AP Top 25 preseason poll and fell out after a controversial win over Western Michigan. The Wolverines earned a ranking again after beating then-No. 11 Oklahoma only to go back to being unranked with losses to then-No. 17 Iowa and Minnesota.

UNDATED (AP) — Indiana wide receiver Nick Marsh is Associated Press national player of the week in college football for his performance against Nebraska. Marsh caught six passes for 187 yards and scored long touchdowns on back-to-back possessions in the fourth quarter to lead the Hoosiers to a 20-17 come-from-behind victory. His 75-yard catch-and-run touchdown and 44-yard TD on a fourth-and-1 brought the Hoosiers back from the 17-6 deficit and helped extend their win streak to 22 games. BYU's Bear Bachmeier was runner-up after throwing for 329 yards and two TDs and running for 109 yards in a 24-10 win over Iowa State.

SEATTLE (AP) — Washington quarterback Demond Williams Jr. seems unlikely to return this week from a rib injury he suffered during the Huskies’ loss to Iowa.  Head coach Jedd Fisch officially described Williams’ status as day to day but said that he didn’t practice Monday, with Elijah Brown taking all the reps with the starting offense. The Huskies are set to fly to Indiana on Thursday for their Friday night game against Purdue.

UNDATED (AP) — Georgia moved up to No. 1 in The Associated Press Top 25 following its win at Alabama. Texas dropped from No. 1 to No. 7 after its loss to rival Oklahoma and Oregon is unranked for the first time in four years after losing for the second time in four games. Georgia received 66 first-place votes from the panel. Notre Dame moved up one spot to No. 2 and got one first-place vote. No. 3 Miami received two first-place votes and is followed by Ohio State and Indiana. Alabama remained No. 6. Texas, BYU, Mississippi and Texas Tech completed the top 10.

UNDATED (AP) — Georgia replaced Texas as the top seed on the 12-team College Football Playoff bracket based on The Associated Press Top 25 but the Longhorns would still play at home in the first round. The projected bracket underwent minor changes with Texas’ loss to unranked Oklahoma knocking the Longhorns out of a top-four seed and the first-round bye that goes with it. Georgia, Notre Dame, Miami each move up one seed line from last week, Ohio State moves in at No. 4 and Indiana, Alabama, Texas and BYU would host first-round games.

UNDATED (AP) — The Big Ten says game officials made an error on Oregon's 2-point conversion attempt against UCLA on Saturday. After a facemask penalty on UCLA, officials mistakenly spotted the ball 1.5 yards from the goal line. The ball should have been placed half a yard from the goal line. UCLA's defense stopped Oregon's second attempt, and the Ducks lost 17-15. The loss dropped Oregon out of the AP Top 25. The Big Ten says it will address the error with its officiating team to ensure consistent application of the rules.

UNDATED (AP) — Jason Kidd has been involved with girls basketball for the past five years with his own AAU team. Now the former NBA star and coach is partnering with alma mater California by putting on an exhibition game Wednesday against defending champion UCLA. Proceeds from the event will benefit Kidd’s foundation. Kidd was thrilled to bring the Bruins to Cal. The two former Pac-12 Conference opponents will play in Haas Pavilion for the first time since 2024. It’s the first time the defending champion will play at Cal since Stanford did it in 1993.
