CINCINNATI (AP) — JC French IV threw a career-high four touchdown passes, and Cole Tabb rushed for a career-best 173 yards and a TD as Cincinnati stunned No. 8 Texas Tech 37-24. It was the Bearcats' first win over a top-10 team at home since Nov. 18, 2006, when they defeated No. 7 Rutgers 30-11. Cincinnati won at ninth-ranked Notre Dame in 2021. The Red Raiders failed go 7-0 for the first time since 2013 and were plagued by mistakes all afternoon. The Bearcats scored 21 points in the second quarter.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Devon Dampier ran for 150 yards and two touchdowns and No. 10 Utah held off No. 14 Houston 21-13 on Saturday night to keep the Utes among the dwindling unbeatens. Dampier completed 18 of 26 passes for 204 yards with two interceptions, but made the biggest plays with his legs to help Utah (7-0, 4-0 Big 12) run the longest active winning streak in college football to 13 games. Jackson Bennee sacked Conner Weigman, and Jireh Moe recovered on the Houston 9 with 2:15 remaining. On the next play, Dampier scampered into the end zone to make it 20-13. Weigman, who went 19 for 35 and had 282 yards passing, drove the Cougars  (6-2, 3-2) to the Utah 23, but threw four straight incompletions. He was 4 of 12 in the fourth quarter.

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — Noah Fifita threw for 308 yards and two touchdowns, Isaiah Mizell scored on a 71-yard catch on the game’s second play and No. 25 Arizona shut down Iowa State for a 39-3 win. The Wildcats played as an AP Top 25 team for the first time this season, having moved into the rankings despite note playing last week. Arizona was sharp following its bye, jumping out to a quick 15-0 lead and dominating both sides of the ball to match its best start since the 2014 team opened 6-1. Fifita completed 27 of 34 passes.

STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) — Oklahoma State dominates Colorado with a 57-24 win on Saturday night. Drew Mestemaker throws for 386 yards and four touchdowns, while Sam Keltner ties a program record with five field goals. Caleb Hawkins adds 120 yards rushing. Oklahoma State, now 5-2, outscored Colorado 34-0 after halftime. Colorado led 24-23 at halftime, thanks to Isaac Wilson's 222 yards passing and two touchdowns. The game shifted when Wilson fumbled on the first play of the third quarter. Oklahoma State capitalized and took the lead for good. Colorado struggled in the second half, punting four times and committing three turnovers.

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) — Cardae Mack ran for 159 yards and four touchdowns to lead Arizona State to a 28-17 victory over Kansas State Saturday. Mack scored on a 12-yard run on the first play of the fourth quarter to put the Sun Devils ahead to stay, then scored from 11 yards on a direct snap to make it 28-17 with 6:23 remaining.

LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) — Kansas rallied from a double-digit second-half deficit to defeat Baylor 25-24 and collect its first Big 12 win of the season on Saturday after blocking a field goal attempt in the final minute. The Jayhawks (3-4, 1-3) took a one-point lead with 1:13 remaining when Isaiah Marshall capped a six-play, 71-yard drive with his third touchdown of the day on a 15-yard run. He passed for the other two TDs. Baylor (4-3, 2-2 Big 12) drove to the 27-yard line before having its 45-yard attempt blocked.

UNDATED (AP) — Miami had no problem passing its first test as the No. 1 team in the AP Top 25. No. 2 BYU wasn’t as fortunate. Playing with their highest ranking since 1984, the Cougars lost 39-31 in two overtimes to UCF and the ranks of the unbeaten thinned to Miami, UCLA and Utah. UCF was among five unranked teams to knock off ranked opponents. No. 8 Texas Tech lost to Cincinnati, No. 11 Tennessee to South Carolina, No. 15 Iowa to Minnesota and No. 16 Southern California to Wisconsin.

UNDATED (AP) — UConn's Sarah Strong and USC's JuJu Watkins headline the preseason AP All-America women’s college basketball team. The team, released Thursday, also includes Vanderbilt guard Mikayla Blakes, Texas forward Madison Booker, and Notre Dame guard Hannah Hidalgo. Strong, the reigning AP Player of the Year, earned 30 votes from the 31-member national media panel. Hidalgo and Booker each received 28 votes, Blakes had 27, and Watkins 26. Watkins is returning after an ACL tear in 2025. Strong averaged 18.4 points and 7.7 rebounds last season. Booker and Hidalgo have been honored as preseason picks for three consecutive years.
