MILFORD - Helen Warga, of Milford, passed away Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011, at Milford Center. She was 95. Helen was born on July 3, 1916, in Newark, N.J., daughter of the late Karl and Anna Kissde-Szantay Phillips. She was a full time homemaker who was devoted to her family and treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Warga enjoyed reading, word puzzles and playing bingo. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Warga; a son, John L. Warga; a grandson, Gregory Brego; two brothers and a sister. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Helene E. and James Brego of Milford; a daughter-in-law, Gisela Warga of New Egypt, N.J.; a sister, Irene Miller of Easton, Md.; four grandchildren, John Brego, Glenn Brego, David Warga and Sonja Warga; and six great-grandchildren, Kyle Brego, Colin Brego, Joseph Brego, Emily Brego, Cassandra Warga and John Warga. A memorial service will be 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011, at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave., Milford, where friends may call one hour prior. Burial will be held in Barratts Chapel Cemetery, Frederica. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to the Milford Senior Center, 111 Park Ave, Milford, DE 19963.
