Helen 'Boochie' W. Walker DOVER - Helen "Boochie" Wylie (Hammond) Walker, was born on April 30, 1924, in Burlington, Mass., and departed this life on Feb. 9, 2010. She was the second child born to Florence (Holmes) Hammond and Harold Hammond. Helen worked as the Circulation Librarian at William C. Jason Library at Delaware State College. On May 1, 1989, after 32 years of service she retired from Delaware State College. She is survived by her son, Richard; daughters, Terry and Karla; grandchildren, Denyonne, Megan, Noah, Evan, and Lucas; cousins, Gardner, and Linda Rollins; and other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be noon, Saturday, Feb. 27, in the Bank of America Longwood Auditorium at Delaware State University, 1200 North DuPont Highway, Dover. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, in memory of Helen W. Walker, 225 North Michigan Avenue 17th Fl., Chicago, IL. 60601; or online at www.alz.org
