Helen Sherman, 51 MILFORD - Helen Sherman, of Milford, died Friday, July 9, 2010, at her home. She was 51. Helen was born on Aug. 11, 1958, in Milford to the late Joseph and Elsie Dudeck. She was a hard worker, working at Chicks in Harrington for over 20 years and most recently she worked at Wal-Mart in Georgetown until her illness. She enjoyed playing bingo, crossword puzzles, watching NASCAR, and was an avid Rusty Wallace fan. She also enjoyed playing computer games and going to the casino, especially playing the slot machines. Helen was a loving mother, and grandmother. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren as well as family. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roger J. Sherman Sr. in 2001. She is survived by her son, Roger J. Sherman Jr. and his wife Michelle of Milford; two granddaughters, Jenna Renee and Abbie Kay Sherman; four sisters, Pat Willey of Sebastian, Fla., Delores and Larry Morris of Harrington, Sue and Marty Stokes of Milford, and Jean and Mark Murray of Felton; one brother, Joseph Dudeck, Jr. of Dover; and many nieces and nephews; her fiancé of seven years, Bill Walker of Milford; his children, Megan, Casey, Douglas, and David; and his mother, Francis Walker. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at Fleischauer Funeral Home, 16 West Market St., Greenwood, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be held at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to American Cancer Society, PO Box 163, Salisbury, MD 21803-0163.
