Helen Maxine Jones DOVER - Helen Maxine Jones, of Dover, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010, in the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford, surrounded by here beloved family. She was 77. She was born Sept. 17, 1932, to the late Collins P. and Ethel Brown Kennedy in Roaring Springs, Pa. She grew up in Hollidaysburg, Pa. After graduating from Hollidaysburg High School she then joined the U.S.A.F. She severed in the United States Air Force as a WAF, during the Korean War. She met her husband during this time at Kessler Air Force Base, Miss. She was a food service worker for the Capital School District, Dover. She was a beloved wife, mother, grand and great-grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Robert F. Jones of Dover; two sons, Robert A. Jones of Dover and Patrick F. Jones of Felton; two daughters, Cathy G. Jones and Barbara F. Smith, both of Dover; three sisters, Patti Kennedy of Hollidaysburg, Pa., Gladys Worley and Winnie McLaughlin, both of Altoona, Pa.; eight grandchildren, Kathy Jo Weaver, Melanie Easterling, Darrell Louder III, Michael Louder, Daniel Louder, Shelby Smith, Nolan Jones and Kealey Jones; and seven great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. this evening in the Trader Funeral Home, 12 Lotus St., Dover. Services will be 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will take place 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, at the Delaware Veteran Memorial Cemetery, Bear. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Delaware Hospice of Milford or to the American Lung Association.
