WORTON, Md. - Helen Lusby Williams, 96, of Worton, died Aug. 17, 2011, in Chestertown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Chestertown. Mrs. Williams was born on Dec. 5, 1914, the last of 7 children to survive the late John R. and Rachel E. Bryan Lusby. A lifetime resident of Kent County where she and her husband operated Red Acres Farm (a 5th generation farm) in Worton. Mrs. Williams was an active life member of Worton United Methodist Church, and member of Worton Senior Citizens. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Albert P. Williams in 1992. Mrs. Williams is survived by her sons, Harry T. Williams and his wife Sis of Worton, Md., and John A. 'Jack' Williams and his wife Charlotte of Shepherdstown, W.Va.; six grandchildren, David Williams (Cheri) of Mumbai, India, Laura Hovenier (Jeff) of Lima, Peru, Anna Roberts (Will) of Hagerstown, Md., Bryan Williams (Tracey) of Worton, Md., Shelly Hocutt (Russ) of Powell, Ohio, and Heidi DeFabritus (Tony) of Freehold, N.J.; and 18 great-grandchildren. Funeral Service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 20, in Worton United Methodist Church, Worton, Md., with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will be in Chester Cemetery, Chestertown.
