Helen Jeanette Moore

SMYRNA - Helen 'Jeannie' Moore, of Smyrna, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2011, in Kent General Hospital. She was 81. Helen was born February 19, 1930, in Nahant, Mass. to the Late, Earl & Katherine (Stearns) Smith. Mrs. Moore had been employed as a bank teller over the years, at several banks throughout the state. She enjoyed painting, cooking, reading, quilting, golfing, making ceramics, and was also an excellent bridge player. She was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in Dover for many years, where she also taught Sunday school. Helen was also a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star, of Dover. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Alfred Moore; three children, Sharon M. Forbes and her husband Robert of Middletown, Gregory D. Moore of Winter Haven, Florida, and Karen J. Howard of Smyrna; a sister, Betty Laramore of Wilmington; two brothers, Earl & Bradford Smith of Wyoming; three grandchildren, Jason Charles Forbes, and his wife Renee' of Bear, Sarah Schrader and her husband Blaine, of Smyrna, and Trevor Moore, of Newark; and one great-granddaughter, Riley Schrader.
