SEAFORD - Helen Irene Usilton of West Chester, Pa., formally of Smyrna and Seaford, Del., went to be with Jesus and "her Mike" on July 2, 2013. Born April 27, 1930, Helen lived in Seaford, Del. for many years. She was employed as a manager of a shoe store on Main Street while in Seaford. Later as a full-time homemaker and mother to son Michael, she operated a baby gift shop out of her house. In 1987 Helen moved to Smyrna and worked as a hostess at The Family Restaurant on Rt. 13. In 2003 she moved to West Chester to be closer to her son, Michael and her grandchildren. Helen was the wife of the late Elwood Ray Usilton (Mike) and daughter of the late Charles and Ophelia Joiner. Helen is survived by her son, Michael and his wife Lauren; grandchildren, Caitlyn, Michael, Olivia, and Kristyn, of West Chester, Pa.; brother, David and his wife Cathy, of Dover; and sister, Hilda and her husband Frank, of Sun City Center, Fla.; nieces, nephews, and extended family. A viewing and mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 and 11 a.m. respectively on Monday, July 8, 2013 at Our Lady of Lourdes, 532 East Stein Highway, Seaford, DE. 19973. A private internment will immediately follow. Letters of condolences and guestbook signed at www.torbertfuneral.com
