HARRINGTON - Helen Doyle Carter, of Harrington, passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2011, at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. She was 80. Helen was born in Ridley Park, Pa., the daughter of the late Harry and Nellie Mulrine Doyle. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Milford and Harrington Senior Center. She is survived by her husband, Edward Ted Carter; four children, Catherine Carter-Cottingame of Los Angeles, Calif., Edward J. Carter of Boorhees, N.J., Cynthia Carter-Marquard of Aston, Pa., and Clinton H. Carter of Essington, Pa.; one sister, Shirley D'Amico of Lower Chichester, Pa.; and eight grandchildren. A memorial service will be 10 a.m., Saturday, April 16, 2011, at First Baptist Church, 6062 Old Shawnee Rd., Milford. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church or Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963. Arrangements handled by Berry-Short Funeral Home, Milford.
