Hazel T. Russell

Hazel T. Russell, 97 BRIDGEVILLE - Hazel T. Russell, age 97, of Bridgeville, passed away peacefully at her late residence. She was born on Nov. 5, 1912, in Farmington, daughter of the late Harvey Tucker and Annie Stewart Tucker. She was also predeceased by her husband Robert William Russell in 2004 and one great-grandson. For over 20 years Mrs. Russell worked as a title clerk at the Delaware Division of Motor Vehicles in Georgetown. She was an avid reader, loved to travel and was a devoted loving caregiver to her husband and family. She is survived by three daughters, Betty O'Day of Seaford, Lola Ward of Reno, Nevada and Kay Peterson and husband Charles of Bridgeville; nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Graveside services were Wednesday May 12, at Union Cemetery, Georgetown. Friends called on Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m., at the Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Hardesty Chapel, 202 Laws Street, Bridgeville. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Compassionate Care Hospice of the Delmarva Peninsula, 31038 Country Gardens Blvd., Dagsboro, DE 19939.
