GREENWOOD - Hattie McBroom, 83, formerly of Greenwood, died Thursday, March 15, 2012 at St. Agnes Hospital, Baltimore, Md. She was born in Milton, to the late Lester P. Lawson and Emma Lofland Lawson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Lee McBroom, Sr.; by her sister, Ella Donavon; two brothers, Dicky and Bill Lawson. She was a wonderful, loving and good mother. She is survived by seven children, Juanita O'Neill, Gilbert McBroom, Jr., Debby Miller, James and David McBroom, Bonnie Webb and Dale McBroom; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Monday, March 19, 2012 in the Chapel of Berry Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front Street, where friends may call from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for a viewing. Interment will be Milford Community Cemetery, Milford, Delaware.
