Harry Samuel Nabb

MIDDLETOWN - Harry Samuel Nabb, 90, of Middletown, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011. Born on April 23, 1920, in Odessa, he was the son of the late Charles Edward and Sarah (Savin) Nabb. As a young boy, Harry enjoyed farming which he continued to do his entire life. In his later years, he worked for the State of Delaware with Del DOT maintenance in the Middletown yard. Harry enjoyed going to Dover Downs for the horse races and especially loved being with his family and attending family gatherings. He loved riding, especially around Middletown while reminiscing about old times growing up in the area. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Leonard, Charles, Fred and John "Jack" and his sister, Sarah Christiana "Christine" Bailey. He is survived by two nieces, Sally Nabb and Sharon Hurley; three nephews, Charles Edward Nabb, Freddie Nabb and Edward Bailey and his wife Sue; and many great nieces and nephews. Interment will be held privately in Townsend Cemetery where he will be laid to rest with his grandparents, parents and brothers. Arrangements by Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home LLC, Middletown.
