Harry Lee Thomason, III, 47 HARTLY - Harry Lee Thomason, III, of Hartly died Monday, Nov. 9, 2009, due to injuries sustained from an auto accident. He was 47. Harry was born March 3, 1962, in Dover, but lived in several states before returning to Delaware 14 years ago. He was the son of the late Harry Lee Thomason II and Diana S. Barnes. He worked as a body shop technician for over 30 years. Harry enjoyed gardening, fishing and spending time with his wife, family and friends. Harry is survived by his wife of 8 years, Barbara Mae Nye Thomason of Hartly; his children, Kyle Ball, Peter Abel at home, Mandy Ball of Camden/Wyoming, Katie Rose of Portsmouth, Va., Julie Ball of Frederica, Yolanda Butcher of Dover, Shawna Bennett of Monks Corner, S.C., Jennifer Thomason and Crystal Kautzman, both of Tulsa, Okla., Danielle and Darynne Abel, both at home; his devoted grandmother, Pauline Perschau of Dover; his brothers, George Thomason of Dover, Michael, Noel and Josh Thomason, all of Portsmouth, Va., and John Barnes of Wilmington; his sisters, Phyllis Gove of N. Dakota, Janice Thomason of Hartly, and Angel Randall of Portsmouth, Va.; and 12 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 8 p.m., Saturday evening Nov. 14, at Torbert Funeral Chapel 61 S. Bradford Street, Dover. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday evening. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford Street, Dover, DE 19904 to help defray funeral costs. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guestbook signed at torbertfuneral.com.
