Gwendolyn Louise Watson, 58

DOVER - Gwendolyn Louise Watson departed this life on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009, in her home. She was 58. Ms. Watson was born Aug. 16, 1950, in New York City. She received her education from William Henry High School. She worked various jobs, later retiring from Capitol Cleaners in Dover. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Louise Watson Sr. Ms. Watson is survived by her stepmother, Jeanette S. Watson of Dover; a very special aunt, Regina Richards of Dover; four children, Shannon Santos and husband Israel Santos of Dover, Tracy Thatch and husband Gregory Thatch of Melbourne, Fla., Brandy Watson and special friend Elijah James of Dover, Jarvis Watson and special friend Dinita Hicks of Dover; three sisters, Irene Banks and husband Edward Banks of Florida, Carolyn Boyd of Dover, and Jocelyn Bryan and husband Anthony Bryan of Dover; three brothers, Carl Watson Jr. of Florida, Garland Watson and wife Linda Watson of Dover, and Jason Watson Sr. and wife Kimberly Watson of Salisbury, Md. She also leaves nine grandchildren, Raul, Emilio, Humberto, Cheyenne, Jawon and Jarvis Jr. all of Dover, Marcus, Michael Jordan and Gregory II of Melbourne; two great-grandchildren, Marcus II and Makyla of Melbourne; favorite nieces, Danielle, Dominique and Dorcia Patterson of Dover; and a host of loving nieces, nephews and friends. Viewing will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday, March 6, at Bennie Smith Funeral Home, 717 W. Division Street, Dover. Services will be noon Saturday, March 7, at Bennie Smith Funeral Home, where friends may view two hours prior. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Garden, Dover.
