When a Democratic Delaware governor has unrestricted authority to impose a state of emergency, then that power is vulnerable to abuse, like by expanding the use of mail-in ballots during elections.
The outdated electronic voting system used by the state of Delaware is over 30 years old.
It should be replaced with a paper ballot system that has a clearly documented audit trail for recounts.
The current electronic voting system that displays a paper ticket simply records the buttons pushed by the voter, which only provides a false sense that their choices are properly counted.
If Delaware’s Democrat-controlled legislature can afford a proposed $150 million underground parking garage — which is a boondoggle for its members’ own comfort and convenience — surely it can afford to buy an up-to-date, trustworthy and reliable paper ballot voting system.
