MILLINGTON, Md. - Grace M. Embert, 88 of Millington, Md., passed away on March 3, 2016 at home. Mrs. Embert was born on July 8, 1927 in Port Penn, Del., daughter of the late Samuel and Bessie Brown Price. In 1945 she moved to Queen Anne's County where her husband owned a farm. race had worked for Leed's Travelware and Wilmington Dry Goods. She enjoyed traveling, find & seek books, wrestling especially John C, listening to country music and cooking for family. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, John Embert, Sr. in 2003; a daughter, Nancy Ormsby; and granddaughter, Brenda Graul. Mrs. Embert is survived by her children, Jeanne Marie Carroll and her husband George of Clayton, Del., Shirley A. Robbins and her husband Cecil of Cambridge, Md., John Embert, Jr. of Millington and Jeanette A. Collier of Hartley, Del.; sister, Dorothy L. Philpot of Kentucky, 13 grandchildren 16 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. A special thanks to hospice for their care and special thanks to her caregiver, Barbara Weller. A viewing will be held on Friday, March 11, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, Md., where funeral service will begin at 11 am.
