BRIDGEVILLE - Grace H. Martin, 89, of Bridgeville, passed away on August 23, 2016, at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. She was born November 9, 1926, near Bridgeville. She was the daughter of the late John Henry Brown and Hester Sarah Banning Brown. Her late husband, Harry Martin, died February 4, 1979. She had been a homemaker most of her life, and was a long- time member of Grace Baptist Church. We will always remember our "Gee", and her radiant smile. She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Tallent (Roger), of Bridgeville, and Karen Martin (David Wilhelm), of Boulder, Colo.; two brothers, Wilson H. Brown, of Dover and Nelson T. Brown, of Seaford; two grandchildren, April Lewis (Bobby), of Eldorado, Md. and Rod Tallent (Kelly), of Preston Md.; six great-grandchildren, Damion Tallent (Karis Hoffman), Aaron Alvino, Nick Alvino, Alex Tallent, Brandon Tallent and Kyle Tallent. Also survived by one great-great-granddaughter, Audree Grace Tallent. She is also survived by one niece, Beth Brown; and six nephews, Robert Brown, Kevin Brown, Peter Brown, Bill Brown, David Brown and Mark Brown. She was predeceased by one sister, Bessie Louise Milligan, who died in 2012; and two sisters-in-law, Barbara Brown in 2011 and Ruth Ann Brown in 2013. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m., Saturday, September 3, 2016, at Grace Baptist Church, 805 Atlanta Road, Seaford. Pastor Larry Davis will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the funeral. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Bloomery Cemetery, near Federalsburg, Md.
