Grace Dixon Barrett

BEAR - Grace Dixon Barrett passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 4, 2016. Born in Kennedyville, Md., on April 21, 1947, Gracie was the daughter of the late Ollie H. "Bill" and G. Lorraine (Beamer) Dixon-Boyce. A real estate professional since 1978, she finished her career with Keller-Williams Realtors. In honor of her professional achievements and length of time as a Realtor, Gracie was inducted into the New Castle County Board of Realtor's Hall of Fame on June 2, 2016. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, George Edward "Eddie" Barrett, who died in 1993. Gracie is survived by her sons, Keith Edward and his wife, Debra, and Kenneth Scott and Kim; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Gene, of Lewes, Harvey, of Elkton, Md., Billy (Nancy). of Bowling Green, Ky., and Lonnie (Pat), of Newark. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, June 10, 2016 at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 W. Park Place, Newark. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2016, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle,.
