'Buddy', 81 WOODSIDE - On Thursday, October 24, 2013, Gooden T. Warren "Buddy," passed away peacefully at his home, Loblolly Acres, in Woodside. He was 81 years old. Buddy was born to Elizabeth "Betty" (Semans) Warren and Parks Warren in 1932. He graduated from Caesar Rodney High School, in Camden, in 1950, where he played baseball, basketball, and was the captain of his high school football team. Immediately following graduation he joined the Navy and served for two years. Following his service time, Buddy attended Colorado State University and graduated with an engineering degree. In 1952, Buddy married his high school sweetheart, Barbara Ann Tatman. Together they had three children, Cheryl Epps, Gregory Warren, and Maria Bobola. He was employed by the Federal Government and spent his time designing roads and bridges. After retiring from Engineering, he started his own, successful home inspection business, Warren-Wolf Associates. Buddy served as president on the Caesar Rodney School Board 1979-1980, but served for 18 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and sister. Gooden is survived by his three children, nine grandchildren, five great grand children. The service will be 6 p.m., Monday, October 28, 2013 at Pippin Funeral Home. A fellowship will be held at Loblolly Acres immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Gooden T. Warren Memorial Fund, c/o CNB Bank, 4580 S. DuPont Hwy., Camden, De 19934.
