Artist Miriam Moran and Gloria Richardson
Artist Miriam Moran was recently featured in a showing at Liv Again in Cambridge, and one of her pieces there was a large poster in an American flag motif, dedicated to the 1960s civil rights leader Gloria Richardson. Recently Ms. Richardson visited Cambridge, and having heard about the poster came to see it at the Liv Again gallery. There, she spent some time and had a long conversation with artist Moran, who told us, “To have Ms. Gloria Richardson, an iconic civil rights leader who stood by Malcom X, President Kennedy, and spoke at the march in the 1960s to come back to her hometown” to visit and view the painting, was remarkable. Shown in the photo are artist Miriam Moran, left, and Gloria Richardson talking at the Liv Again gallery on High Street in Cambridge.
