Gloria Ramos, 92
DOVER - Gloria Ramos, of Dover, formerly of Manhattan, N.Y., died Monday, Sept. 7, 2009, at Courtland Manor Nursing Home. She was 92. Mrs. Ramos was born Dec. 29, 1916, in Puerto Rico. She worked in a jewelry factory designing and making jewelry. Mrs. Ramos enjoyed traveling. Mrs. Ramos was preceded in death by her husband, Arcadio Ramos on July 7, 2009. She is survived by her two sons, Ferdinand Ramos and his wife Miriam of Dover, and Harold Ramos of Manhattan, N.Y.; her daughter, Aida Santiago of Saratoga Springs, N.Y.; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:30 p.m., Friday, Sept. 11, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State Street, Dover. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to noon at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford St., Dover. Interment will be in St. Peters Cemetery, Troy, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Alzheimer's Association National Office, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guest book signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
