Norton, 89 DOVER - Gloria Marion Norton of Dover passed away Sunday August 31, 2014 at Kent General Hospital. She was 89. Mrs. Norton was born October 12, 1924 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Per Swanson and Ingaborg Swanson. She was a homemaker and enjoyed, crafts and quilting. Mrs. Norton was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Ray Norton; brother, Lennart Swanson; sisters, Sonia Pyle and Vera Ziegler. She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Charles Norton of Dover; sons, Steve Norton and his wife Rebecca of Dover, Wayne Norton and his wife Debbie of Newport News, Va.; daughter-in-law, Deanne Norton of Peyson, Ariz.; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 12 p.m., Monday, September 8, 2014 at Wesley United Methodist Church, 209 S. State Street, Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, Delaware.
