Gloria K. Abbrescia
Gloria K. Abbrescia passed away February 22, 2024 at Bayhealth Medical Center in Dover, Delaware.
Born in Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Esther Maloley Saad.
She worked for many years as a business manager for Chesapeake Oral Surgery Associates. Gloria always enjoyed playing slot machines locally and abroad, occupied her time playing on her favorite iPad, and has always enjoyed watching game shows and CSI on TV. Her favorite place to be was out in the sun, and annually frequented many Caribbean and Hawaiian Islands over the past several decades. Gloria always used her wit and sharp sense of humor to communicate with friends, neighbors and family.
She was preceded in passing by her late husband, John D. Abbrescia. She leaves her two loving sons, John Michael and Vincent Dominick Abbrescia; five grandchildren, John Michael, Dominique Elizabeth, Ariana Angelina, Isabella Nina and Gianna Sophia Abbrescia; along with four great grandchildren, Liliana Abbrescia, Arabella and Josephine Coontz and Sterling Strawderman.
A visitation will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024, from 9am until 11am, at The Funeral Home of Michael J. Ambruso, 1175 S. State Street, Dover, DE 19901.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:30am at the Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State Street, Dover, DE 19901.
Interment for immediate family members will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Dover, Delaware.
