Glenn F. Scott, Jr GEORGETOWN - Glenn F. Scott, Jr., of Georgetown, passed away Thursday, June 10, 2010, at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital. He was 78. Glenn was born in Marcus Hook, Pa., son of the late Glenn F. Sr., and Ethel (King) Scott. He spent the majority of his life in Georgetown. He was a Supervisor with Charles E. Brohawn and Sons Construction for over 29 years. He worked with them until the company closed. Glenn then worked in construction in the area until he retired in 1995. Glenn enjoyed the outdoors, especially gardening, camping and hunting. He was a 50-year member of the I.O.O.F., Union Lodge in Georgetown. He was also a member of the Grand Lodge and had been past commodore of the Indian River Yacht Club. In addition to his parents, Glenn was preceded in death by four brothers, Jack, Donald, James Edward and Steve Scott. He is survived by his wife, of 58 years Geraldine (Walls) Scott; two daughters, Glenda Scott of Georgetown and Gerry Bloodsworth and husband Bob of Harrington; two grandchildren, Scott and Jessica Bloodsworth; two sisters, Barbara Johnson and husband Richard of Georgetown and Doris Lloyd of Wilmington; a brother, Charles B. Scott and wife Margaret of Millsboro; three sisters-in-law, Betty Martin of California, Judy Scott of Bear, and Jean Scott of Greenwood; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family, whom he loved dearly. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market Street, Georgetown, where friends may call after 11 a.m. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Milton. Flowers are accepted or contributions can be made to the Georgetown American Legion, Ambulance Fund, PO Box 734, Georgetown, DE 19947.
