Glenda Sherlene Isiminger

NOLENSVILLE, Tenn. - Glenda Sherlene Isiminger, age 74, of Nolensville, and previously of Dover, Del., passed away on Monday, Oct. 31, 2011, after a courageous year long battle with cancer. Preceded in death by her mother, Carrie Helen Mason Clouston; husband, Garland "Ike" Isiminger; companion of 25 years, Allen S. Hedgecock; daughter, Patti Isiminger; and brothers, Chuck Beresford and Sidney Ankrom. Survived by daughters, Shelli Isiminger, Catherine (Herb) Sandy, and Sandra Hannon; son, Scott C. (Julie) Nelson; grandchildren, Troy Cotten, Bryce Hannon, Nicole Hannon, Jacob Sussman, Hana Nelson, and Gunnar Nelson; brother, James "Woody" Beresford of West Virginia. Sherlene spent many years in Dover, Del., and was very active in community affairs while she lived there. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. A Memorial service was conducted at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011, in the Chapel of Brentwood-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home with Rev. Dave Erickson officiating. The family received friends in the drawing room of Brentwood-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home from 5 p.m. up until the time of service on Thursday evening. Private family burial will be held in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Alive Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
