MILFORD - Gladys Shirley Griffin, age 64, of Milford, passed away Sunday, Sept. 11, 2011, at Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. She was born in Chestertown, Md., the daughter of the late William D. and Amy Lee (Kimble) Tucker. She moved to Delaware in 1970 from Chestertown. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family. She loved to crochet and needle point, gardening and reading her Bible. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Everett O. Griffin in 1998. She is survived by her children, Ronnie Griffin of Tennessee, Shirley "Lisa" Griffin of Lincoln, and Bruce Griffin of Houston; two grandchildren, Kelly Wise and Kyle Freudenthral; and a great-grandchild to be born to Kelly due in December. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 15, 2011, in the Chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, Inc., 119 N. W. Front Street, Milford, where friends may call one hour earlier. Burial will follow at Milford Community Cemetery.
