Gladys Marie Glanding Kincaid

SUDLERSVILLE, Md. - Gladys Marie Glanding Kincaid, of Sudlersville, died Sunday, July 10, 2011, at her home in Sudlersville. She was 76. Mrs. Kincaid was born Aug. 11, 1934, in Barclay, Md., the daughter of the late Thomas Glanding and Hattie "Glanden" Glanding. Mrs. Kincaid attended Sudlersville High School and was a lifetime resident of Queen Anne's County. She worked in Environmental Services at Magnolia Hall for 20 years before retiring in 2003. She married her late husband, Willis Junior Kincaid on Feb. 20, 1954, and the two began their life together and started their family. Mrs. Kincaid was a member of Hope Fellowship Church in Chestertown. Her interests included flower gardening, sewing and going to church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Junior Kincaid in 1981; and one son, Willis "Dallas" Kincaid in 1976. She is survived by three daughters, Regina Crossley and husband David of Sudlersville, Md., Gloria Church and husband Dana of Henderson, Md., Angeleen Kincaid of Sudlersville, Md.; one son, Cleamon Kincaid and wife Robin of Sudlersville, Md.; one sister, Dorothy Dill of Warwick, Md.; one brother, Henry Glanding of Townsend, Del.; eight grandchildren, David, Jason, Philip, Jared, Adam, Lauren, Amanda, Chloe'; and four great-grandchildren, Emily, Elyssa, Lyla, and Julia. A visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, July 12, 2011, at Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, 370 Cypress St., Millington, Md. Services will be held Wednesday, July 13, at 2 p.m. also at the funeral home. Friends may call one hour prior to service. Interment will be held in Sudlersville Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be sent to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer 5005 LBJ Freeway, Suite 370, Dallas, TX 75244; or Hospice of Queen Anne's 255 Comet Drive Centerville, MD 21617.
