GALENA, Md. - Gladys M. Hurtt of passed away on Monday, Dec. 17, 2012 at Chester River Manor in Chestertown, Md. Mrs. Hurtt was born Oct. 31, 1934 in Mardel, Md., the daughter of the late Leonard and Margaret Caldwell. She was a proud homemaker who loved traveling and being with her family. Gladys also enjoyed watching old Westerns, classic movies, and NASCAR. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Hurtt, Sr.; and her son, Frederick William Hurtt. Gladys was the last of five children. She is survived by three sons, Thomas E. Hurtt, Jr. and his wife Sally of Golts, Md., Leonard George Hurtt and his wife Shirley of Clayton, Del., and Michael A. Hurtt and his wife Linda of Tolchester, Md.; 10 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 21, 2012 in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S.
