Geraldine Winfred (Stevens) Hill, 92

ROCK HALL, Md. - Geraldine Winfred (Stevens) Hill, of Rock Hall, died Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at Harbor Health Care, Lewes, Del. She was 92.

She was born Jan. 26, 1916, in Rock Hall, daughter of the late Andrew Jackson "Bubsy" and Katie Rebecca Akers Stevens.

Educated in Rock Hall, she married William Francis Hill in 1934. They lived in Rock Hall and later moved to Skinners Neck.

Mrs. Hill was a devoted homemaker and loving mother and grandmother.

She enjoyed crocheting and ceramics.

Mrs. Hill helped with the Rock Hall Lions Club Ladies Auxiliary.

She was predeceased by her husband, William Francis Hill, in 1983; and a son, Lloyd Leroy Hill, in 2002.

She is survived by a son, William Douglas Hill and his wife Lynne of Rock Hall; a daughter, Kathryn Ann Hedrick and her husband Norman of Felton, Del.; grandchildren, Stewart Crouch, Karen Decker, Suzanne Phillips, Janie Comegys and Wendy Borror; and great-grandchildren, Kenneth Decker, Christopher Decker, Sebastian Borror, Heather Comegys, Kayla Comegys and Molly Phillips.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, Md. 20, Rock Hall, where relatives and friends may call one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be in Wesley Chapel Cemetery.

Contributions may be made to the Rock Hall Volunteer Fire Co., P.O. Box 577, Rock Hall, MD 21661.

Arrangements by Fellows, Helfenbein, and Newnam Funeral Home, Rock Hall.
