Geraldine Patricia Sheehan

Patricia Sheehan, 70 MILFORD - Geraldine "Pat" Patricia Sheehan, 70, of Milford, died Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2011, at Bay Health Medical Center. She is the daughter of the late Frank Sheehan and Geraldyn MacLaren Sheehan. She was born in Washington, D.C., and was an Associate Sister of Holy Cross Community, in South Bend Indiana for many years. Later she was a Lab Tech for the Veterans Hospital in DC, Salt Lake City Utah. She also worked for several physicians in the Silver Springs, Md., area until she retired. Earlier years she was a member of St. John's Evangelist Church in Silver Springs, Md., and upon moving to Delaware she became a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Milford. Her church and the choir was her life. She also served as a Eucharist Minister for both Churches. She is survived by her best friend, Carol Sue Henderson and her husband Eugene of Milford; two god daughters, Kelly Zirkle and Geraldine Marcotte. She will be missed by many, especially in the IHM and CSC communities A funeral Mass will be 1 p.m., Monday, Aug. 22, at St. John's Catholic Church, Seabury Avenue Milford, where friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for the viewing. Interment will be Gates of Heaven Cemetery, Dagsboro. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the St. John's Catholic Church Choir Seabury Avenue, Milford, DE 19963. Arrangements handled by the Berry Short Funeral Home.
