DOVER - Geraldine "Gerry" M. Green passed away, Wednesday, January 19, 2022 with her family by her side.
Gerry was born July 13, 1936, in Cumberland, Maryland. She was the daughter of the late Glenn L. Wilson and Julia M "Counihan" Wilson.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Bernard "Bill" W. Green; brothers, Bernard Wilson and William "Bill" Wilson both of Cumberland, Md.; sister-in-law, Rose Marie Stafford; and brother-in-law, Royce Stafford.
Gerry and her family moved to Delaware in 1966. She was a homemaker when her children were young and then worked at Capitol Office Products until her retirement. She and her husband were long time members of the Modern Maturity Center, where she had many friends. After her husbands passing, Gerry participated in the MMC Front Porch Program. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church for over 50 years.
Gerry enjoyed gardening, jigsaw puzzles, crafts and was an avid Phillies fan. She had her 1st and only grandchild, Nicholas at the age of 73. She was very proud of Nicholas, and he brought her so much joy.
She was a very special lady who touched the lives of many people and will be greatly missed. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the entire Memory Care Staff at Dover Place for their compassionate and quality care.
Gerry is survived by her daughter, Susan D. Miller and her husband Ronald of Chestertown, Md.; son, Christopher W. Green and his wife Karen of Magnolia, Del.; grandson, Nicholas Hunter Green; sisters-in-law, Joanne Wilson and Judy Wilson both of Cumberland, Md. and Margaret A. Phillips of LaVale, Md.; brother-in-law, Wade A. Phillips of LaVale, Md.; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12 Noon, Thursday, January 27, 2022, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State Street, Dover. Interment will be at Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Modern Maturity Center, Front Porch Program, 1121 Forrest Avenue, Dover, DE 19904.
