Gerald M. Smith

MILFORD - Gerald M. Smith, of Milford died Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013 at the Milford Center. Mr. Smith was born in Pocomoke, Md., the son of the late James M. and Delta (Miller) Smith. He worked for Acme Markets in Milford as a meat cutter for many years before retiring in 1983. He enjoyed bowling, golfing and camping. He was athletic, playing several sports in high school. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Joan L. Smith; two daughters, Susan Wagenhoffer and her husband John of Harrington and Nancy L. Smith and her husband Sean, of Milford; one son, William E. Turner and his wife Judy, of Georgia; six grandchildren and sixgreat grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 5, 2013 at the Milford Community Cemetery, Rt. 113, Milford. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Donor Services, P.O. Box 4072, Pittsfield, MA 01202. Arrangements by Lofland Funeral Home, Milford.
