MILFORD - Gerald Allen "Jerry" Pepka passed away Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013 at Kent General Hospital. Mr. Pepka was born Oct. 9, 1948 in Webster, Mass. to Edmund Pepka and Pearl Goulet Pepka. He served in the United States Air Force for 4 years as a flying crew chief (engine mechanic). After the service, he continued in the maintenance/HVAC field working for American Optical and Sound Manufacturing. He was a member of the Milford Elks, and the Sprague Rod and Gun Club. Mr. Pepka enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR and working with his hands. Mr. Pepka is survived by his wife of 44 years, Brenda Mosley Pepka of Milford; his parents, Edmund and Pearl Pepka of Charlton, Mass.; son, Scott Pepka and his wife Donna, of Taftville, Conn.; daughter, Angela Jencks and her husband Thomas, of Baltic, Conn.; brothers, Albert Pepka of Charlton, Mass., Roland Pepka of Fla., and Ronnie Pepka of Guam; sisters, Judy Williams of Wethersfield, Conn., Diana Sales of West Hartford, Conn., and Debbie Kelis of Enfield, Conn.; grandchildren, Lindsay Savignac, Alyssa Jencks, Alexandria Pepka, Hunter and Skye Jencks. Funeral services will be held at noon, Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon. Interment will be 11 a.m., Monday, Dec. 16, 2013 at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE 19966.
