George Neal Walston, 95 SEAFORD - George Neal Walston, of Seaford, passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2008 in Country Rest Home in Greenwood. He was 95. He was born on Oct. 1, 1912 in Denton, Md., the son of the late George Cummings Walston and the late Clara Trice Walston Hubbard. Mr. Walston had worked as a licensed practical nurse in N.Y. and was a buyer and supervisor for Lloyds Shopping Center in Middletown, N.Y. He was a member of the Elks since 1964 and transferred his membership from Middleton, N.Y. to Seaford in 1991 in which he became an officer for five years. Mr. Walston became a life member of the Elks in 2002 and also was a member of Elk National. He had been a member of Howells Fire Company, in Howells, N.Y. and also served there as captain of the fire police for 20. He also was a member of the Webb Horton Church where he had served as usher for several years and was a member of the A.A.R.P. both nationally and locally. He excelled in all sports and especially enjoyed, softball, basketball, horse shoes and bowling. Mr. Walston was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Rhea E. Walston on April 2, 2007; a brother, Harlan Walston and an infant sister, Mary He is survived by three sons, Jon Neal Walston of Constableville, N.Y., David R. Walston and Dennis E. Walston both of Seaford; three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday in Denton Cemetery in Denton, Md. with Rev. Dan Walker officiating. Arrangements by Framptom Funeral Home, Federalsburg, Md.
